The Current

Our mission: to enhance the human experience through the visual arts.

The Current provides year-round visual art exhibitions in our galleries and our annual outdoor sculpture show, Exposed, throughout the village of Stowe each summer; public programs such as lectures, panels, and film screenings; and progressive and innovative arts education programs for all ages.

Jewish Community of Greater Stowe

The Jewish Community of Greater Stowe is a vibrant center of Jewish life in Northern Vermont. Our mission is to create and sustain an environment that perpetuates and celebrates Jewish traditions, observances, and sense of community.

Stowe Community Church

Our church, the Stowe Community Church, in Stowe, Vermont is a little different from other Protestant churches in rural Vermont. We are part of a resort community that has become recognized internationally. Therefore, we have drawn people here from a wide range of communities, lifestyles, and denominations.

Stowe Craft Gallery

Stowe Craft Gallery is a Vermont and nationally known artisan gallery with contemporary crafts direct from over 300 artists. You can buy handmade crafts and gifts online at stowecraft.com. Or browse our brick and mortar store for an even larger selection on the Mountain Road in Stowe village. Our hours have been the same for over 30 years; 10am - 6pm every day.

Stowe Free Library

Stowe Free Library is a beautiful mid-19th century building with a 21st century attitude.  The library is a community hub for locals and visitors alike, with an array of offerings.  There are books, movies, magazines and newspapers, to read here or to take home.  We have computer workstations, as well as free wi-fi.  There are programs for babies and toddlers, three to five year-olds, school-aged kids, teens, and adults.

Stowe Historical Society

The Stowe Historical Society is located in historic Stowe, Vermont -- situated on the Waterbury River between Mt. Mansfield on the west and the Worcesters on the east.  It boasts one of the better alluvial plains in northern Vermont.  Chartered in 1763 and settled in 1794 by Oliver Luce and family, it has supported forest industries, sheep and dairy farming, recreation including some of the earliest Alpine skiing in Vermont and lodging from its earliest days to the present.

Stowe Land Trust

Stowe Land Trust is dedicated to the conservation of scenic, recreational, and productive farm and forest lands for the benefit of the greater Stowe community.

Since 1987, SLT has conserved nearly 3,500 acres of land in Stowe, Waterbury and Morrisville. We strive to maintain a positive working relationship with our conservation landowners to ensure the conservation values they initially sought to protect are maintained in perpetuity.

Stowe Performing Arts

Stowe Performing Arts is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that began presenting concerts in the field adjacent to Whisker's Restaurant in 1976. A few years later, Johannes von Trapp suggested that concerts be presented in the concert meadow at the Trapp Family Lodge. This much-loved summer concert series has since been known as the Music in the Meadow concerts.

Stowe Story Labs

Mission: Stowe Story Labs helps emerging screenwriters, filmmakers and creative producers get work made and seen.

Stowe Story Labs is a non-profit effort to bring screenwriters, filmmakers and creative producers together with seasoned, working industry professionals to focus on each participant’s specific project. The Labs are heading into their third year and we are still on a high from this fall’s Second Annual venture.

Stowe Theatre Guild

The Stowe Theatre Guild is a non-profit volunteer community theatre organization, pledged to present the best local theatre experience in New England and offering diverse, quality productions in a premier facility. For over fifty years, Stowe Theatre's mission has included drawing from and giving back to our community. Community members serve on the Board of Directors, which is responsible for all aspects of the theater — from soliciting, scheduling and supporting shows to ticket sales, advertising and community outreach.

Town of Stowe

Stowe is a premier four season resort destination particularly reknowned for its alpine and Nordic recreation, mountain biking, hiking and world class spas.  The community comes alive with festivals, shopping and dining opportunities with  activities for everyone in all seasons.   Stowe has made the most out of its natural setting– Mount Mansfield, the forests and fields, clear mountain streams and fine air to carve out an appealing, enduring, distinctively New England style of life.

Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum

The objective of the Museum's Curatorial Program is to utilize the resources belonging and accessible to the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum to create visually stimulating, historically in-depth exhibits that fulfill the mission to Collect, Preserve and Celebrate Vermont's Skiing and Snowboarding History.
